CALYX began offering building structures services in 2005 and has project values ranging from $250,000 to $260 million. Our structural engineering services include assessment, analysis, design, and inspection of structural steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, timber, and masonry structures for both new facilities and renovation projects. Along with assembling a strong structural engineering core, CALYX has developed a passion for architecture. Nearly all our team members have an architectural emphasis.
Our work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the ACEC/NC Grand Conceptor Award, the top honor given, for our structural work on Marsico Hall at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Engineering Excellence Award for the Broad Avenue Bus Terminal in High Point. Our work wins awards because our engineers are in tune with the overall building design, allowing us to design better, innovative, and efficient buildings that express their structure as architecture.
