Jill Wells Heath, LEED AP


As president, Jill sets the strategic direction for the firm, executes the company’s vision, and fosters a company culture that cultivates and expands business relationships and alliances. She works closely with CALYX’s leadership team in championing the firm’s initiatives. Jill joined CALYX in 1993 and quickly rose through the ranks. She became CFO in 2003, president in 2006, and CEO in 2008. Jill holds a number of leadership positions with the Triangle area’s professional and community organizations. She is the President of the Board of The 50 Group, Executive Committee member and former chair of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, serves on the board of the YMCA of the Triangle, and is a former board member for Wake Technical Community College’s Foundation. Jill is also a member of the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW), the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, the National Association of Chief Executive Officers, and the prestigious Watauga Club. Valoree Eikinas, PE, LEED AP

Director of Building Structures and Land Development

Valoree is a professional engineer with more than 28 years of experience collaborating with owners and designers to integrate art, architecture, and engineering into creative facility design. As director of building structures and land development, and the sustainability lead at CALYX, she has been directly involved in implementing and overseeing LEED procedures for more than 3.5 million square feet of renovations and new construction design for municipal, public, and private facilities across North Carolina. Carla Starr

Director of Administrative Services

Carla is responsible for keeping the CALYX offices humming along efficiently. She juggles HR, IT, administrative services, accounting, and marketing, and is a key factor in CALYX being a “Best Firms to Work For” selection; a “Healthiest Employer” in the Triangle, Charlotte and Atlanta; and a “Family-Friendly 50” firm. With her background in nursing, Carla brings a personal touch to the human side of a numbers-oriented business.
